- A high pressure system over the Bight is extending a ridge over New South Wales, bringing fresh south to southwesterly winds to the coastal waters. Winds will ease and turn easterly to northerly as the high slowly moves eastwards and enters the Tasman Sea during the weekend. A series of fronts is forecast to cross the coastal waters from the south early next week.
