A trough is lingering near central parts of the coast with winds expected to tend more north to northeasterly. Southerly winds will develop along the southern and central waters on Sunday, spreading to the northern waters on Monday, as a low pressure system forms over the southern Tasman Sea and then moves away to the east. The next trough is forecast to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
