- A ridge lies over NSW waters, bringing southeasterly to northeasterly winds. Winds will turn northeasterly and freshen Wednesday ahead of a cold front which will bring a fresh to strong southerly change to NSW waters from late Wednesday, starting from the southern coast and reaching the northern coast later on Thursday. Winds will turn southeasterly Friday then easterly Saturday and Sunday as a new ridge forms along the coast in the wake of the cold front.
