Winds and surf conditions are forecast to ease gradually later in the week as the system moves further offshore and it is followed by a large high pressure ridge moving across the state. During the weekend a weakening cold front and trough are expected to cross the state. This will be followed by a stronger cold front mid-week bringing a return to gusty winter westerlies.
