A high pressure system over central Australia extends a ridge over much of New South Wales. Late in the day, a strong cold front connected to a deep low pressure system in the Bight is forecast to enter southwest New South Wales, then cross the state during Tuesday into Wednesday morning bringing fresh to strong west to northwesterly winds along the coast.
