Weather Situation

A high pressure system is centred over the Tasman Sea, maintaining a ridge over eastern parts of New South Wales and directing northerly winds, while a trough of low pressure in the state's south is heading north, bringing a south to southeasterly wind change along the coast today and tomorrow before stalling in the far north coast and decaying midweek. Increasing northerly winds are expected to develop late in the week, then a cold front looks set to cross the coast between late Friday and Saturday, with a fresh westerly wind change in its wake.
