West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Port Kembla early in the morning. Winds becoming variable about 10 knots in the middle of the day then becoming northwest to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the evening.

Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the morning, then decreasing to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.

Weather Situation

A low pressure system near Tasmania is slowly moving eastwards, maintaining moderate west to southwesterly winds over the southern and central coastal waters. Winds will gradually ease and become light and variable later in the week as the low weakens and moves further east, and a high pressure system moves across the New South Wales. Winds will then turn northerly and strengthen through the weekend ahead of a strong cold front that will cross the coastal waters late this weekend into early next week.
