- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea directs a northeasterly flow through the coastal waters. A cold front and trough will pass through the Tasman Sea during the weekend, bringing a southerly change that will track northward along the NSW coast during Saturday and Sunday. Another high crossing Tasmania early next week will then extend a new ridge into the coastal waters.
