North to northeasterly winds will strengthen along the southern half of the coast today, extending north during Thursday as a trough approaches from the west. Winds easing and shifting west to southwesterly from Friday as a series of cold fronts brush the south, before another high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea later in the weekend.
