Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge over the coastal waters and maintaining northerly airstream. A trough is forecast to enter the far south coast late Tuesday before heading north and cross the rest of the coastal areas on Wednesday, bringing fresh south to southwesterly wind change in its wake. Winds will then ease later in the week as a new high pressure system enters the state's west and extends a ridge across the coastal waters.
