Northerly winds will increase on Thursday and Friday as a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea moves away and a cold front approaches from the west. This front will bring a fresh to strong west to southwesterly change to central and southern waters on Friday night and Saturday morning. After this southerly winds are likely to persist as a ridge of high pressure develops.
