A high in the Tasman Sea maintains a ridge over coastal waters, generating fresh northeasterly winds. A trough will brush along the coast later today (Sunday) and during Monday, bringing a southerly change to the southern and central waters. Then, winds will gradually turn northerly again as another high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea midweek.
