A high pressure system is situated over the Tasman Sea, with easterly winds gradually turning northeasterly. Then, a weak southerly change will move along southern and central parts of the coast on Thursday, before decaying as the ridge reestablishes itself on Friday. During the weekend, a second trough in the west looks set to extend to the south coast.
