West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots in the middle of the day then becoming north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the late afternoon. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Port Stephens early in the morning and again in the late evening.

Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the morning.

Weather Situation

South to southwesterly winds as a high pressure system centred over the state moves east into the Tasman Sea. A weak trough developing over the southern waters today brings northeasterly winds to the southern coasts. North to northwesterly winds redevelop across the state's coast ahead of a vigorous cold front crossing the waters late Saturday into Sunday.
