A ridge lies over NSW waters, bringing northeasterly winds. A cold front enters the southern coast late Wednesday, which will bring a fresh to strong southerly change to NSW waters, reaching the northern coast later on Thursday. Winds will turn southeasterly Friday then easterly Saturday and Sunday as a new ridge forms along the coast in the wake of the cold front.
