A ridge lies over the NSW coast bringing east to southeasterly winds. Winds will briefly turn northeast to northwesterly ahead of a fresh to strong and gusty southerly change moving along the coast during Thursday. Winds are expected to ease from Friday and gradually turn northerly again as a high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea, where it lingers over the weekend.
