A slow-moving high pressure system over NSW extends a ridge over the coastal waters. As the high drifts east, a cold front and trough are forecast to cross the coastal waters during Sunday and Monday. Fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds will follow the front, persisting into midweek. A secondary surge of fresh to strong west to northwesterly winds is then expected during Wednesday.
