- Weather Situation
- A high pressure ridge extends across eastern New South Wales, directing fresh and gusty north to northwesterly winds along the coast. The ridge will contract to the far northeast as a trough enters the south coast and slowly moves north towards the central coast. An inland low pressure system connected to this trough will then head eastwards, entering the central coastal waters late Wednesday and brush the north coast early Thursday before heading further offshore, whipping strong southerly winds along the coast in its wake. Southerly winds will gradually ease from Friday through the weekend as another large high pressure ridge extends across the coast.
