Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over the state. A series of strong cold fronts then look set to cross the state on Friday through the weekend. The winds will then tend north to northwesterly on Friday as a front approaches from the west before shifting west to southwesterly on Saturday following the passage of the front. Strong winds are possible for southern coastal waters in association with this front.
