- A deep, complex low in the Tasman Sea is driving gusty southwesterly winds today. The vigorous south to southwesterly flow associated with that low is forecast to continue as a trough crosses the coastal waters. Then, a high pressure system is forecast to drift over the coastal waters during the weekend or early next week, turning the winds southeast to northeasterly.
