Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system is gradually moving away over the Tasman Sea, however its presence still sees strong winds and large powerful surf into this evening. Winds and surf conditions are forecast to ease gradually later in the week as the system moves further offshore and it is followed by a large high pressure ridge moving across the state. During the weekend a weakening cold front and trough are expected to cross the state. This will be followed by a stronger cold front mid-week bringing a return to gusty winter westerlies.
