In the wake of a cold front, west to southwesterly winds will tend northerly and strengthen today as a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea drifts further east. Winds will shift west to southwesterly over the weekend as a strong cold front moves over NSW coastal waters, with southwesterly winds persisting into early next week as a series of fronts brush the south of the state.
