Weather Situation

Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds lie over the coastal waters this afternoon. Following this, winds should gradually ease and turn northerly as a high pressure system drifts across the state, entering the Tasman Sea midweek. Then, another trough is forecast to enter the state's far west on Friday ahead of a cold front crossing the state during the weekend, bringing a southerly wind change over coastal waters in its wake.
