- Weather Situation
- A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slowly drifting eastwards while directing north to northeasterly winds over the coastal waters. A trough is forecast to sweep the central and northern parts of the coast today, bringing a southerly wind change in its wake. Winds will then turn northerly again later in the week as the trough weakens and another weak high pressure ridge develops over the region. A cold front sweeping the south looks set to bring another southerly change on the weekend.
