A trough brushing the north coast is bringing onshore south to southeasterly winds. Winds will gradually turn northeasterly from Tuesday onwards and continue freshening mid to late this week as a slow-moving high pressure system strengthens over the Tasman Sea while extending a ridge to the coastal areas.
