Weather Situation

A trough off the far north coast is heading further offshore while a weak ridge extends across the rest of the coastal waters. Meanwhile, a low in the state's west and its associated trough are heading east, and forecast to enter the coastal waters late Tuesday before heading into the Tasman Sea by early Wednesday, with a southerly wind change in the wake. Another weak ridge will briefly develop before a cold front crosses the coastal waters midweek, bringing another bout of a southerly wind change.
