- Weather Situation
- A trough lies near the coast while a high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea is slowly drifting eastwards, bringing east to northeasterly winds along the coast. The trough will continue to move offshore today, while another trough brushes the coast on Saturday, with fresh southerly winds in its wake. These two troughs may interact and form an offshore low pressure system before heading further eastwards, then winds will tend northerly early next week as a high pressure ridge drifts across the state. Then, a series of cold fronts looks set to cross the coastal waters mid-next week.
