A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea combined with a low pressure system over the southern Coral Sea is directing moderate to fresh and gusty south to southeasterly winds onto the coast, tending strong in the north today. Over the coming days a broad area of low pressure moves over the state bringing easterly or northeasterly winds to some parts of the coast.
