Winds are expected to ease and turn northerly as the high moves over the Tasman Sea today, ahead of the next cold front crossing the coastal waters on Tuesday. The cold front may bring some fresh and gusty westerly winds, particularly about the southern and southeastern coasts. Following the front's passage, high pressure is forecast to rebuild over the region from Wednesday with conditions easing.
