- A deep, complex low near Tasmania is driving gusty westerly winds today. A vigorous south to southwesterly flow is forecast from Friday as a strong cold front and trough cross the coastal waters. Then, a high pressure system is forecast to drift over the coastal waters during the weekend or early next week, turning the winds southeast to northeasterly.
