- North to northeasterly winds are freshening ahead of a cold front and its associated trough that will move across the coastal waters during the weekend, bringing a fresh and gusty south to southwesterly wind change in its wake. Winds will briefly turn east to northeasterly early next week as another high pressure ridge drifts across the state, then the next cold front will move across the coast on Tuesday through early Wednesday next week, with another southerly wind change after its passage.
