- Weather Situation
- A strong high pressure system over Tasmania and a low pressure system moving over New Zealand will continue to drive fresh southerly winds to the coastal areas today. Then, the high will enter the Tasman Sea today, maintaining a ridge over the southern half of the coast while a weak trough develops off the northern half of the coast. Winds will gradually ease before turning northerly and freshening during the weekend as the ridge extends over the northern coastal waters.
