- A high pressure system over the Bight is extending a ridge over New South Wales, bringing south to southwesterly winds to the coastal waters. Winds will turn easterly to northerly as the high moves eastwards and enters the Tasman Sea through the weekend. A series of fronts are forecast to cross the coastal waters from the south early next week, bringing fresh south to southwesterly winds in their wake.
