Another trough over the northern inland will deepen to a low pressure system over southern Queensland or northern inland New South Wales today. The low will traverse the northeast quarter of the state, before entering the coastal waters of the Hunter or Mid North Coast by Friday and moving further offshore over the weekend, with fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in its wake.
