- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge over northern NSW and pushing north to northeasterly winds over northern coastal waters. Meanwhile a trough will strengthen during the weekend as it tracks northward along the coast, reaching the Hunter Coast by Sunday before stalling, as a second high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea and directs east to southeasterly winds over coastal waters.
