- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across the state. Winds will turn northerly later in the week through the weekend, apart from a brief incursion of southerly winds along the southern half of the coast on Saturday, as another high entering the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the coast.
