A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards New South Wales coastal waters, maintaining southeast to northeasterly winds for the remainder of the week. A weak trough in the Tasman Sea could drift towards the far northern New South Wales Coast during Friday, bringing strengthening southeasterly winds before easing later in the weekend.
