- A high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over coastal waters, maintaining northeasterly airstream. A trough is forecast to brush the southern and central parts of the coast today, bringing a coastal southerly change in its wake, before stalling about the Hunter or Mid North Coast midweek. Then, another high pressure ridge looks set to extend across the state's south, maintaining onshore easterly winds later in the week.
