Weather Situation
A cold front contracts away into the Tasman Sea with a fresh and gusty southerly change moving up the north coast in its wake. The front will deepen to a low pressure system well-offshore by Thursday. A high pressure system passing to the south of the state extends a ridge across the coastal waters mid to late this week. Winds will turn northerly on Friday into Saturday ahead of the next trough that will reach the coastal waters during the weekend.
