- Weather Situation
- Winds will turn east to northeast midweek ahead of a strong cold front that will cross the state on Thursday. Strong west to southwesterly winds will follow after its passage, with potential gale force winds over the far southern coastal waters as the front enters the southwestern Tasman Sea and a low forms within it. Winds will then turn southerly and gradually ease from later Friday through the weekend as these systems quickly head further offshore. Meanwhile, a strong high-pressure system will move over the Bight, extending a ridge over the coastal waters as it slowly drifts eastwards.
