Weather Situation

A strong cold front is forecast to cross Sydney Waters today, with fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds in its wake. Winds will then turn southerly and gradually ease from later Friday through the weekend as the front moves further offshore while a strong high-pressure system moves over the Bight and extends a ridge over the coastal waters. Winds will then become onshore easterly early next week as the high slowly drifts eastwards.
