North to northeasterly winds along Sydney Local Waters will continue to freshen through this week as a high over the Tasman Sea strengthens. A cold front and its associated trough is expected to bring a sharp and gusty southerly change to Sydney late Saturday. Fresh to strong southerlies are forecast to continue through Sunday and gradually moderate and shift east in the new week as a high pressure system settles over the Tasman Sea.
