A trough looks set to bring southerly winds to Sydney Waters on Tuesday, which will freshen or strengthen later Tuesday and Wednesday as a cold front moves into the Tasman Sea. After this, southerly winds will persist through to Thursday as new ridge of high pressure extends across from the west, and then ease on Friday as the high becomes more predominant.
