A high pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over Victoria, directing a weak southerly flow over the State. The ridge remains over Victoria until a stronger cold front crosses Bass Strait late on Friday and into Saturday. Another high pressure system moves into the Bight on Sunday and extends a ridge over Victoria.
