- A cold front approaches the west of Tasmania this evening, expected to cross the state early Saturday. A southwesterly flow will develop behind the front and persist into Monday. A ridge is then expected to extend over Tasmania as a high pressure centre moves through Bass Strait on Tuesday, and out to the Tasman Sea by Wednesday.
