Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure sits over northern Tasmania today from a high moving in from the west. The high pressure system is expected to move east over the Tasman Sea on Friday, with a trough and embedded low to develop to the northeast of the state. The low is forecast to pass to the east of Tasmania on Saturday morning, with a weak cold front to cross later in the day. Another stronger cold front is then expected to approach from the west during Sunday.
