A high pressure system extends a ridge over Tasmania today and will move out to the east today. A cold front is forecast to approach western Tasmania on Friday evening and cross the state during Saturday morning. A broad are of low pressure is expected to move over the state late Saturday and Sunday, with multiple low centres and troughs in the vicinity of Tasmania. This will start to move to the east on Monday.
