A cold front approaches Tasmania from the west, expected to cross the state on Wednesday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will then move over the southeastern mainland on Thursday, directing a northwesterly flow over Tasmania as it moves into the Tasman Sea on Friday. Another cold front is forecast to cross Tasmania on Saturday.
