Weather Situation

A high pressure system, well to the west of Tasmania, extends a ridge over the state today, as a cold front clears to the east. The ridge persists over the state on Monday, before the high centre is forecast to move northwards over mainland Australia on Tuesday, maintaining the ridge to its south over Tasmania into Wednesday. A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a trough to the east of Tasmania on Wednesday, whilst the ridge persists over the west of the state. The ridge moves over the state from the west on Thursday, as the low in the Tasman Sea moves eastwards.
