A trough pushed offshore the southern Queensland coast Saturday morning, with southeast to southwesterly winds in its wake. During Sunday and Monday a ridge of high pressure will strengthen across southern Queensland waters. A strong trough or low will form off the central New South Wales coast early next week and enhance southerly winds over the far southern waters.
