Southeasterly about 10 knots tending southeast to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots in the early afternoon then tending northwest to southwesterly in the late evening. Winds reaching up to 25 knots offshore south of Geraldton in the evening.

A west coast trough is moving offshore, as a low pressure system forms. The trough and low pressure system will remain offshore on Tuesday and deepen, while a ridge over southern WA weakens. The trough and low pressure system will move east across the west coast on Wednesday, before moving further inland on Thursday and weakening. A new ridge will develop over southern WA by Friday.
