A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will continue to extend a ridge over Victoria until a trough develops from the west later today. This trough will remain relatively stationary over the over the state until a cold front enters from the west late Friday. This front clear east by Saturday afternoon with a ridge of high pressure following in its wake.
